An unexamined life isn’t worth living. If one don’t examine anything in life how can they learn from it and choose which future paths to take. Another word for examine is “thinking”, when we examine we think. The tool that we use to examine is our logic and our reasoning. Thought and rationality are the unique properties of human. They are what differentiate us from all other things. Some animals might have those faculties but never to the extent that humans do. If one examine life, they begin to know themself and take control of their life.

If one don’t examine life, how can they truly appreciate what they are given and not just sail through life blind sighted. If one are not examine life, they simply don’t think. If one don’t think, then they are not using their unique gift, they are not being us (human), not functioning to their full potentiality and so they are less than who we should be. In fact, if one don’t examine life then they are no different from rock and chair or at best some beast. Examine life will defines the human specie and those who don’t examine are then not really human in any full sense. If one are blessed with the ability to think but decide to not use that ability, therefore what is worth of living their life? They don’t have the ability to choose between right and wrong, they can’t set goals or destination for their life.
