Confucianism and Taoism?

I just need some help with Confucianism and Taoism.

1. What are the differences between Confucius’s ideal of good government and those of Lao Tzu?

2. Is Confucius’s formula, “Do not do to others what you would not like yourself.” wiser than the Golden Rule (Do unto others as you would have them do unto you)? *Why or why not?*

3. What are some of the characteristics that contribute to Confucious’s ideal of “the gentleman”?

4. A paradox is a contradictory statement that poins to a truth. What are some paradoxes in the passages from Lao Tzu? Whattruth is each one trying to explain?

5. Which model for government do you think is the best: Confucius’s or Lao Tzu’s? *Why?*

6. Do you think these forms of government will be effective? *Why or why not?*
