Classes Keep up help?

My little 7th grade cousin is having trouble keeping up with her classes. In the beginning of the school year I helped her. I think shes just plain lazy. Her backpack is very messy. I clean it out whenever I can.Now my aunt wants 2 get involved. I told my aunt to have my cousin 2 clean out her backpack every 2days and have the teacher sign her planner when she completes and turn in the work. Any other suggestions?

Talk to the teacher if he/she wouldbe willing to help your cousin fill out the planner and check it for assignments every day. Help your cousin with a schedule to study and complete assignments. If all that doesnt help, you may need to consider giving your cousin a strong cup of coffee and see if that helps the concentration. Its also a quick test to see if your cousin is just lazy or has ADD. If a cup of Strong coffee helps the concentration ifs ADD and your cousin needs to be checked for it. Its great that you are helping. Kudos for you.

Have your aunt plan study time for your cousin. If she can not motivate herself to do her work, then her parents need to make sure she does it. Also her mom can check her assignment book and help her stay on track with long term assignments. It would probably be helpful for your Aunt to be in contact with the teacher in order to figure out ways the teacher can assist your cousin or if they have suggestions for your aunt. Best of luck
