Chem Help!!!!!!!?

I need some help in chem, but not in the subject, in the class. The teacher isn’t very good and is pretty boring, the book is older and is not very helpful. I am in Honors Chemistry I and I am a sophomore. This class is killing my GPA. I am able to have a 4.5 out of 4 gpa. I am getting a C in chem and my GPA is only 4.25. Don’t say I am doing good, because it is not good for me. I have at least an A in all of my other classes. In Honors Bio I, I am getting a 100%.

What do you suggest I do to improve my grade in Chem? I follow along in class but I don’t know what to do other than that. I plan on staying after school on Tuesday (I have a golf match monday and can’t stay) to talk with her and go over our last quiz. We have a test on Thurs. and plan on starting to study Tuesday too.

I don’t plan on majoring in a chemistry related job either. I want to become a mechanical engineer. But chem will help me for college and credits.
