Can you please help me with my son’s math homework?
Mrs. Donaldson plays Bingo on 2 different nights. She wins a total of 25 games for the 2 nights. On the second night she wins 7 more games then she did the first night. How many games did she win each night?

A + B = 25
A + 7 = B
Now, sub in A+7 for B in the first equation.
A + (A + 7) = 25
Solve for A. 2A +7 = 25
2A +7 -7 = 25 -7
2A = 18
2a /2 = 18 /2 (/ means divided by)
A = 9
Now plug that back into the equation.
9 + B = 25
B = 16
Is 16 seven more than 9? Ok, you’ve got it.

subtract 7 from 25 to get 18, because she won 7 more games on the 2nd night. Divide 18 in half to find out how many games she won the first night. So, she won 9 games the first night and 16 games the 2nd. Hope that helps.
