can you help me withh math its about pythagorean theorem PLEASE HELPP!=[?

one leg of a right triangle equals 8cm and the other leg equals 24cm find the length of the other leg. Can you tell me at least how do do this. I know how to find the hypotenuse but i forgot how to do this thing

Right triangles have only two legs. The longest side is called the hypotenuse.

Assuming that you gave us the lengths of the legs, then

8^2 + 24^2 = c^2, where c is the length of the hypotenuse.

64 + 576 = c^2

640 = c^2

sqrt(640) = c (There is a negative answer also, but it doesn’t make sense because the length cannot be negative.)

c = 8* sqrt(10) = approx 25.3 cm

On the other hand, if the 24 cm is the length of the hypotenuse, then

a^2 + 8^2 = 24^2

a^2 + 64 = 576

a^2 = 512

a = sqrt(512) = 16*sqrt(2) = approx. 22.6 cm

I hope this helps!

x^2 + y^2 = z^2

So, modify that equation to show the value of Z. Plug in the numbers and there you go.
