Can you help me solve this hard math problem??
a.If AB=10 and DC=22, find the length of the median of the trapezoid
b. Draw diagonals AC and BD. Let E be the midpoint of AC and F the midpoint of BD. Find the Length of EF.
c. Suppose the trapezoid is isosceles with AD=BD=13 while the bases are given. Find the height of tghe trapezoid.
Favorite Answer
b.length of EF is zero… because E and F are the same point.
c. answer is 9.16. since you have the length of 3 sides or a triangle within the trapezoid, you can use the cosine law.. which is a^2 = b^2 + c^2 – 2bc(cosA) A being the side directly across angle a….
and when you do your calculations, you should make A = 10 so you can find angle a.. and with some triginometric manipulations, you’ll end up with 9.16
