Our mind is formatted a certain way, what you can call a thought process. In china this is much more based on memory skills. China is past oriented, tradition and values. The master gives his knowledge to his students.
In western Culture children are encouraged to learn by their own, Teachers do not give answers rather questions. In Europe especially children are taught to write many essays, and turn a question around all aspects, where in America the focus is on simplicity, a, b or c.
I would say depending from which culture children are raised the influence is the most important, then comes the individual aspect, which is unique to each of us. From here my guess is as good as yours, I think each has his own method.
I know I have a good visual memory, fast reading, that is my strength… so Instead of using podcasts I would write things down. My personal strategy for everything I do is have fun, if something starts to bore me I stop. It becomes counter productive to learn if you have no interest. create interest first, then have fun. Be interested in what you do, do extra research just by curiosity, not by obligation. You learn much faster, and better.
