Do you have a question about a research paper you’re working on in class, or do you want the definition and summary of how to complete a research paper?

Well, I’m still a little lost, (sorry!), but I will do my best, here goes.

You are given a topic, say, a mammal, to ‘research’.

You’re basically going to describe the topic, let’s say,

if it were an animal, it’s living enviornment, mating rituals, feeding habits, life span, and so on and so forth. If it were an everyday object, say, pencils, for example, you’d describe where it were made, what it’s made up of, what it’s used for, how long it can be used for, where the materials it’s made up of come from, and how it affects our everyday life. It’s key to remain as organized as possible, spell check and make sure it’s it’s correct paragraphs, [preferably 4-5, one for say, the mating ritual/how it’s made, and one for every other chapter thereafter]. Keep it neat, type it up on the computer, and don’t forget to put your name on it.

The topic isn’t really ‘well-written’, the paper is. Determining a ‘good’ topic for your paper depends on the class, and the requirements of the paper. IF it is to be a short paper (4 pages or less), you have to choose a very narrow topic (the effect of global warming on farming in New York, popular music of the70’s, Alzheimer’s disease) IF it’s longer, you can do some more in depth research and chose a topic that necessitates more coverage ( the history of abortion in America, the causes and effects of global warming) It’s important to choose something that interests you- that you’d like to know more about- b/c otherwise, YAWN..

research papers as i know is that you would pick a topic then from that topic you would research about it.
