Can u help me put the parentheses/brackets in the right spots in this math problem?
Reads: six times seven minus 2 cubed divided by 2 squared is 30
Favorite Answer
{6 x [7-(2 cubed/2 squared)]} = 30.
working it out…
{6 x [7-(8/4)]} =30
{6 x [7-(2)]} = 30
[6 x (7-2)] = 30
6 x (5) = 30.
TRUE! =D
2 squared=30
6 x (7 – 8 / 4) = 30
6 x (7 – 2) = 30
6 x (5) = 30
30 = 30
Therefore, 6 x (7 – 2cubed/2squared)
but only if you’ve already covered that multiplication/division comes before addition/subtraction
Or, to be proper, 6 x [7 – (2cubed/2squared)]
[6 x (7-2cubed)/(2squared) ]
i dont think 2squared has to be enclosed w/ parenthesis/brackets…
yeah, solve it, and you know the rest ^^
PEMDAS o.o
lol idk XD
hope it helps =P
