Second, Japanese and Korean have similar grammar, look at the following example.

ex. (Korean translation) I was drinking water

(English) I was drinking water

(Japanese) I was drinking water

(The Japanese says something like Watashi wa mizu wo nomimashida, I don’t know Japanese too well)

Korean: I + water + was drinking (Korean order)

Japanese: I + water + was drinking (Japanese order)

English: I + was drinking + water (English order)

Chinese although is the same as English: I + was drinking + water (Chinese and English are similar)

This is why the Korean and Japanese language are similar to each other.
