?

Can someone please show me how to work this problem out?

I just need an example…the stuff I’ve read through doesn’t explain how to do this stuff at all…

Write the equation of the line with a slope of -5 and a y-intercept of (0,3).

Thanks!

Slope-intercept form:

y=mx+b

m=slope

b= y intercept

so……………………… answer is

y= -5x+3

the standard equation for a slope intercept is

Y=mx+b

where b is the y intercept, which is given in your problem

where m is the slope, also given in your problem

so those are your two variables

so your equation would be y=-5x+3
