Can someone help me with surface area and volume of cuboids?

I know how to work out the surface area and volume. But there’s 2 questions I kind of stuck with the English. Here’s the question:

1. Find the surface area and the volume of each of the cubes with the following edge length.

a. 3cm

b. 6cm

c. 12cm

2. Calculate the total surface area of the inside and outside of this wooden box, including the lid (ignore the thickness of the wood).

The height: 10cm

The width: 4cm

The length: 6cm

One lid is open. So, do you understand what I mean?

Please help me out and if you show your working out, it would be better. Please, thanks a lot. =D

1a sa=54 (3*3(= 1 face)*6 =all faces), v= 27 (1 side * 1 side*1side)

b sa= 216 a= 216

c= 864 a=1728

Same for each other for working

2. sa = same for inside and outside of box

2 sides = 10*4 *2

2 other sides 10*6*2

2 remaining sides = 4*6*2

total = 80 + 120 + 48 = 248

remeber to include cm squared for all answers. volume is cm cubed

Hello
(sorry) I’m not exactly sure, but i think this is what you do…

1.a) surface area (s a): 3cm x 3cm = 9cm squared

volume (v): 3cm x 3cm x 3cm = 27cm cubic

b) s a: 6cm x 6cm = 36cm squared

v: 6cm x 6cm x 6cm = 216cm cubic

c) s a: 12cm x 12cm = 144cm squared

v: 12cm x 12cm x 12cm = 1728cm cubic

2. Total surface are inside: 10cm x 4cm x 6cm = 240cm cubic

outside =144cm sqaured
