Can someone help me with some math homework?

Ok well here are the problems.

1.The width of a rectangle is one half its length. The perimeter of the rectangle is 54cm.What are the width and length of the rectangle?

Here’s the formula for the problem: P(perimeter)=2xL(length)+ 2xW(width)

2.The length of the rectangular garden is 3 yd. more than twice its width. The perimeter of the garden is 36 yd.What are the length and width of the garden?

3. The sum of 2 consecutive even intergers is 118.

You have to define a variable fo the smaller interger, what must you add to get an even interger to get the next greater even interger, write an expression fr the second interger, and write and solve an equation to find the two even intergers.

4. The sum of 3 consecutive even intergers is -(negative)298.What are th intergers.

Well that’s it!

I would really apperciate it if you sent me an email with the answers.

Thanks

I’ll only set the problems for you. It’s up to you to solve them.

1) If width is half the length, then length is twice the width. Understand that logic?

Let w=width of rectangle and let 2w (twice the width)=length of rectangle.

You get the equation: 2(w)+2(2w)=54….. you can solve the rest.

2) Let w=width and let 2w+3=length

You get the equation: 2(w)+2(2w+3)=36….. you can solve the rest.

3) Let x=the first even interger and let x+2=the next even interger.

You get the equation: (x)+(x+2)=118

4) Let x=the first even interger, let x+2=the second even interger and let x+4=the third even interger.

You get the equation: (x)+(x+2)+(x+4)= -298

I’ve done all the hard work. All you have to do now is solve. Piece of cake.
