1, 3 change in two

3,7 change in four

7, 15 change in eigth

15, 31 change in 16

31, x = change in 32

x, y = change in 64

second one you add half of the value

ie 1/2 + (1/2)(1/2) = 1/2 + 1/4 = 3/4

Successive difference, or differences of differences, are always a good starting point for problems of this sort. In the second set, the differences are 2, 4, 8, and 16, and the next such is plausibly 32. In the last set, each term can be expressed as 1 – 2^(-n), so the next term would be 31/32.

The first one, it takes 2 + 1 to equal 3.

It takes 3 + 4 to equal 7.

It takes 7 + 8 to equal 15.

all you’re doing is multiplying the number that adds to the next number by 2.

for example

2 times 2 equals 4, and 4 + 3 = 7

4 times 2 equal 8 and 8 + 7 = 15

bxbxbxb = B to the power of four [i’m sure you know to the power of four is just a wee number 4, above and to the right of the letter b.] Increase £180 by 15% 10% of £180 is £18 5% of £180 is £9 Add them together to get 15% which = £27 Therefore Increase 180 by 15% = £207 10x-2 = 28 10x = 28 +2 10x = 30 x = 30/10 x = 3 Hope I helped you =]

1,3,7,15,31, 63, 127

the rule is: x*2+1

0,1/2,3/4,7/8,15/16, 31/32, 63/64

the rule is: multiply the denominator times two and make the numerator one less than the denominator

1.

1,3,7,15,31,63,127

on the first number you add 2, then you add 4, then you add 8, then 16, then 32, then 64

2.1/2,3/4,7/8,15/16,31/32,63/64

basically you just multiply both numbers by 2 then to the numenator you just add 1

1.) (1,3,7,15,31)

All you do is times 2 and add one. So it would be 62 and 124

2.) The bottom numbers just keep times by 2.

The top numbers have the same pattern as number one.

Good luck!

1. 63,127 because the # u add doubles each time you add.

2. 31/32, 63/64 i can’t explain this one though
