when you write a topic do you write it in your own words do you have to write what you feel about the topic

It depends. Does your teacher want an opinionated summary? Writing something in your own words is just summarizing so it is easier to understand for yourself. If you are supposed to have your opinions in your summary, then yes. But probably not. You are just summarizing something, which is putting it in your own words and not making it the exact same thing. =]
