Life living in the colonies was really hard and you had to find a way to make it. Colony life took place during the 1700s. The Colonies are what is called the United States of America today. New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia were part of the colonies. There were many different types of ways of living in the colonies.

next paragraph

One way of living in the colonies was farm life. The colonies developed an economy for farm life. Economy is the way a society organizes the manufacture and exchange of things of value, such as money, food, products, and services. First task families had to do was clear out the land. To cut down trees, square timbers, and flat planks they use axes and saws for building houses, barns, and fences.

please help thank u

Try this website: http://www.socialstudiesforkids.com/articles/ushistory/13colonieslife.htm

If you don’t like that one, just google: “life in the 13 colonies” and see what websites come up. Be sure to put the phrase in quotes, so it will narrow your search down a bit.

Good luck!

An essential item to build on Mars would be greenhouses. A greenhouse will address several of you listed concerns…. Clothing (from hemp and cotton), Food, Sewage (treated for fertilizer), Oxygen, Water (excavations for the greenhouses will expose ice), CO2, Exercise (someone has to tend the plants)… While I could have said that your workers could sleep in the greenhouses and meet there for social needs, I think that is pushing it.
