First you have to find the circumference of the wheel.

If the radius is 30 cm, then the circumference is

2 x pi x 30 = 60 x pi = 188.50 cm

There are 100 centimeters in a meter, so the circumference is 1.885 meters.

There are 1000 meters in a kilometer, so if you divide the 1000 by 1.885 and get 530.50 turns of the wheel.
