If the figures are correct, all 87% agree that there is a god of some type. I doubt if all 87% agree on the nature of that god. After all, some believe that a creator made the universe and then left it alone. Some believe that God created the human race via evolution. Some think God created the universe in six days and quit. Some think He rested on day 7 then went back to work.
It’s not as simple as yes or no.

God is the greatest scientist of all. He created science and used it in the creation of all things. He is not mandrake the magician you know. He didnt just click his ‘fingers’ and magic up creation like some stage sham altho He could have if He chose too. Instead He used science to bring things about. So belief in science and belief in God do go hand in hand. Many scientists believe in God because they know through their own work that things did not come about by mere chance.

Of course. They can go hand in hand. People can believe whatever they want to believe. I honestly think that most people do believe in some God or higher power and also believe in advancing science and technology. Not saying I do or don’t believe though.

Absolutely. Many preeminent scientists believe in God. In fact, if you check history, many scientific breakthroughs were driven by belief in a creator God. Isaac Newton, for one, was driven by the motivation that, if there was a creator of the universe, then there must be laws governing that universe. He then searched for the laws that are there in order to understand His creator better.
There are many more examples. A search for creationism and science should yield more than enough examples for a bibliography.

First of all i dont think america is leading anymore. Theyre falling back and Europe and China are takings its place. Secondly, i know for a fact that scientists and innovators keep religion separate from their work. So religion has no affect on technological progress
