Both industrial and agricultural workers experienced signifigant change during 1877-1887?

Second was the laissez-faire attitude adopted by the Federal government in determining work conditions and wages. Only after outrages such as Triangle Shirtwaist Fire did the Federal government step in to start override state authority, mandating minimum conditions of safety and worker compensation.
The final change was the continued expansion of the country’s rail net, which opened up immense new markets for both agriculature and industry.
