Biology Versus Chemistry?

School is starting next week and I am really nervous about Chemistry. I took Biology last year and did pretty well. I really don’t learn very quickly, but I do study a lot and do pretty well from that. Most people say that Chemistry is a lot harder than Biology. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on this. Thanks

Biology is easy indeed but chemistry is more interesting!

Biology and chemistry are inter connected such proteins , chemical composition of cells ,lipids carbohydrates DNA molecules like oxygen on the 5th carbon ring .etc.

so you won’t find it difficult if you take interest in your work

an do it with your heart in it .

Good luck

You’ll probably do fine. Chemistry has a lot of math and equations, so if you have completed Algebra you’ll probably do well. It takes some time to figure out sometimes, but take it a step at a time. Ask someone who’s completed the course with an ‘A’ for help, or ask your teacher, if you have a problem. You can do it! My kids have actually found many applications for what they learned in chemistry, and they better understand the world around them and how it works. Hope you find the same. 🙂 God bless!

I had an interesting Prof for Chem. We called him Kumnutz because he wore glasses only they were monocle. Every once in a while someone in class would notice and start laughing. It was as though they had forgotten everyone who had laughed before or it just struck them. Chemistry was harder because of the combinations and math to many. I felt the text did not always teach to the test. It seemed much broader than the lecture. Bio has a lot of memory but it seems more interesting and more readily useful as soon as you know the concepts rather than chem which makes you think you may never use it unless you become a pharmacist.

Bio is more memorising then chemistry. Chem will also be used more likely in science. If youre going into Meds, u have to take both though and theyre both pretty much the same…

chemistry is more of a “hands on” subject. I guess people told you chemistry is more difficult because it’s more of an application rather than memorization (as one user already stated). I’m sure that once you get enough practice you will do just fine! best of luck to you!

As soon as you don’t understand something, ask for help from the teacher or get a tutor.
