Best way to memorize these words?

I have definitions like “members of the phylum chordata: animal that has, for at least some stage of its life, a dorsal hollow nerve card, a notocard, pharygeal poueles, and a muscular tail”

There’s like 20 of those, and I’m having a lot of trouble, I only have an hour, help? 🙁

You need to just make sense of them…

ie. Chordata comes from Cord, or SPINAL Cord

Spinal cord is (similar to) notocord, hollow nerve cord, and ends in a tail (last 3 vertebral bones)

record them on a cassette tape and play them back several times over, that helps me.If you don’t have the resources available to do this just get a notebook and write it down several times, gradually writing more and more down from memory.
