basic chemistry help?

please help me with these chemistry questions…

1) if 1500 white blood cell are lined up side by side they would form a row 1.0 inches long. What is the average diameter in micrometers of a single white blood cell (1 inch=2.54 cm) Express your answer in scientific notation.

2) In the laboratory you determined that the density of table salt is 2.19 g/cm^3. A handbook lists the density of table salt as 2.16 g/cm^3. Calculate the percent error.

thanks!

1. To find the diameter, take the total lenght and divide by the number of white blood cells. Then convert to centimeters (use a ratio: diameterinch/diametercm = 1 / 2.54 and then cross multiply and solve. Then write it in scientific notation. I’m not sure where you are having problems with that question.

2. percent error = (observed-theoretical)/(theoretical) then multiply by 100. Observed is what you got doing the experiment and theoretical is the predicted value
