george demands lenny as though he’s a slave.. that’s because lenny’s a retard..
he was shot!
he was his only companion, his true friend, despite their misunderstandings, he truly cared for lenny, as you can in how he commands lenny to act the way he wants him to act.. appropriate and tough (because they are surrounded by tough men as well).. the pain he bears is the same pain as losing a friend…
