solving these algebraic equations in the geometry way I figure all these out except these two.can you show me how to work them out

1. 7(2y-1) + 3y = -3(y+2) +9

2. 3 (x-5) -4 (2x-4) = -2 (x-11)

14y – 7 + 3y = -3y – 6 + 9

17y – 7 = -3y + 3

20y = 10

y = 1/2

3x – 15 -8x + 16 = -2x + 22

-5x + 1 = -2x + 22

-21 = 3x

-7 = x

17y-7=-3y+3

20y-10

y= 1/2

2. 3x-15-8x+16=-2x+22

7x=-21

x= -3

by geometry way do you mean telling what you are doing- like addition property and stuff like that?
