(2x^3-5)^2

i got 4x^6-20x^3+10

my teacher marked it correct,then crossed it out and put -1

is it 4x^9??

(2x^3-5)^2=

4x^6-20x^3+25

You took 5^2 and got 10, not 25.

Close, but not correct.

4x^6-20x^3+25 (you put 10–it is 5 times 5 not 2 times 5)
