Okay, here we go, first things first you have to do the distributive property. since the number is right next to the parentheses u multilply -7 times x and -7 times 2, you should now have -7x+-14+4x. Next you combine the like terms, in other words, add anything similar, in this case there are two numbers with the variable x so you add -7x and 4x getting -3x. Now it is -3x+-14 and that is your answer.

you can’t solve the problem because that is not an equation or inequality. Although you can simplify it like this:

-7(x+2)+4x

-7x-14+4x

-3x-14

It depends on what X equals

If X=4

First cross out x and put 4

-7(4+2)+4×4

then do the Parenthesis

-7(4+2)+4×4

6

-7(6)+4×4

then multiply

-7×6= -42

and 4×4=16

so…

-42+16= (on a number line from -42 you would move right 16 times)

soo..

-26 is your answer

-7(x+2)+4x

Use Distribution Propterty with the first part, then it should look like this – –

-7x-14+4x

After that you just add up the light term which is

-7x + 4x

Then you should have the following equation

-3x -14

yes yes! *= x ok so you go…

-7 * x = -7x

-7 * 2 = -14

(-7x) + (-14) + 4x

(-7x + 4x) = -3x

-3x -14 = 0

ok so now you need to get the -3x on the other side so you can divide it. so you go +3x on both sides.

-14 = +3x

-14/3

x = -4 2/3 (answer)

Hope it helped!!!!
