can someone explain how to solve these kind of problems???? please

-7x-14+4x
-3x-14
If X=4
First cross out x and put 4
-7(4+2)+4×4
then do the Parenthesis
-7(4+2)+4×4
6
-7(6)+4×4
then multiply
-7×6= -42
and 4×4=16
so…
-42+16= (on a number line from -42 you would move right 16 times)
soo..
-26 is your answer
Use Distribution Propterty with the first part, then it should look like this – –
-7x-14+4x
After that you just add up the light term which is
-7x + 4x
Then you should have the following equation
-3x -14
-7 * x = -7x
-7 * 2 = -14
(-7x) + (-14) + 4x
(-7x + 4x) = -3x
-3x -14 = 0
ok so now you need to get the -3x on the other side so you can divide it. so you go +3x on both sides.
-14 = +3x
-14/3
x = -4 2/3 (answer)
