After school scheduling (advice!)?

Hello! I am 16, this is my last school year, I’m finishing in December (not from the US).

I always get back from school at 4 pm and eat my lunch in aprox. 20 minutes. After that, I am physically (as well as mentally) exhausted. I don’t know if it’s cuz I have just eaten and I should have lunch at all, or that I really am tired, I need to sleep…

My main concern is: at what time should I start my homework? And also, in regards of the weekend, at what time should I do my homework then?

I have my IB Diploma exams in November, you see, so right now I have tons of papers and oral presentations to deliver during all August and September, and only 10 weeks for studying 2 years’ subjects! 🙂 Sooo if you can give me any advice, I’d be grateful!

Thanks.

It’s different for each student. I would suggest doing your work early. Maybe take 5-10 minute breaks every half hour or so. If you are really into the work, then I wouldn’t take a break because this may disrupt your creativeness. If you get stuck somewhere, then that is probably a good time to take a break. You may come up with better ideas while your relaxing. Some people like listening to music while studying. Others don’t. I’m sure you know how you like to work. If it’s not quiet at your home, then try the library. Plus there are less distractions there.
