Ok in this question the denominator is 19 cause you wanna know the ratio of the booths. The numerator is 12 cause you want to know what as in relationship to booths

Now your either looking at 19/12 as a fraction

Or you can either choose 1 7/12 as a mixed number.

The answer would be 19/12 because most teachers now a days don’t like the use of mixed numbers. Always use it in the fraction term.
