A = L x W

24 = 4 x W

24= 4 x 6

length = 4 m and width = 6 m

P = 2L + 2W

= 2(4) + 2(6)

P = 20

W*L = 24 and all of us comprehend L-2 = W. So replace of W and you gets L^2 – 2L = 24, which would be expressed because of the fact here: L^2 – 2L – 24 = 0 Now component: (L-6)*(L+4) = 0, which supply us 2 values for L, 6 and -4. because of the fact the dimensions won’t be able to be adverse, L = 6. Now we replace back and get the two 6W = 24 or 6 – 2 = W, the two considered one of which supply you W = 4.

Okay, so you have the length and the area. You know the equation for the area of a rectangle:

lw = a, whereas l is the length, w is the width, and a is the area.

Since you know the length and the area, plug them in.

4w = 24

Divide both sides by 4 to get w by itself.

w = 6

There! The width is 6.

The equation for finding the perimeter is:

2(l + w) = p, whereas p is the perimeter.

Lets plug the length and width in.

2(4 + 6) = p

p = 20

There! The perimeter is 20.

area = length * width

24 = 4 * width

width = 6

perimeter = 2*length + 2*width

p = 2*4 + 2*6

p = 8 + 12
