ok for the first one you can use unit analysis and find out how many mph lydia is going and add 40 since thats how fast Jason is going.

26.4ft 60sec 60 mins 31680 ft 6 miles

——– x ——— x ———– = ———– = ———-

1 sec 1 min 1 hour 1 hour 1 hour

so lydia is going 6 miles per hour and jason is going 40 miles per hour in the opposite direction. consequently they are going 46 miles per hour away from eachother.

this one is quite a bit easier. you take how many grams of saturated fat per serving times the servings per package. then take that number times 3 packages. finally divide that number by each of the 5 friends to get your answer.

4 grams per serving x 10 servings per package

= 40 grams per package

40 grams per package x 3 packages

= 120 grams of saturated fat

120 grams / 5 friends

= 24 grams of saturated fat per person
