To compare two numbers, you’d want to know their difference (ie, how much one is bigger than the other).

So you might want to use subtraction to do that.

Then, you might want to know how many of one make up another (how many of one are needed to make another) in which case you’d use division.

you need to find the difference.

difference= answer in subtraction

For example the difference between 156.25 and 30.16 is 126.09.that is one way you could compare 2 numbers.

another operation is to add.

eg. the numbers are 10 and 15

10:

=10+5

=15

15:

=!5 +5

=20

The sum of 10+5 is 15 and the suim of 15+5 is 20.20 is greater than 15 so 15 is higher than 10.

I hope this helps you(i cant really xplain well)

Comparing two numbers, means finding the difference. In other words: subtraction. Whatever it equals when you subtract is the difference! That’s why it pays to pay attention lol.

when you’re asked to compare any two things (numbers or otherwise) what is it that you need to do? find the difference.

what does “difference” mean in math? subtraction. subtraction is the operation.

that is one. you should figure out the other on your own.
