5th Grade homework help in math?
In the problem 8 – (-c) = 1,
would the result be -7?
Here is what i did
—————————————–
1) Make the two negative signs positive 8+c=1
2) Subtract 8 from each side -8 -8
3) c=-7

its -7 but I dont know why you add the extra step of subtracting 8 from each side

yeah.. i think that would be the answer….
yes u subract (but its because the 8 is positive)…which means
dont forget.. u could ask ur parents for help too! and if u think u have the right answer and when its check the next school day and its wrong ask the teacher if u don’t understand why….
