Well if Josh had 7 fewer containers of strawberry than blueberry he had 13 containers of blueberry to begin with. By eating 2, he now has 11! ๐Ÿ™‚

Good luck!

You know all the things, it’s just a matter of putting it all together:

1. Josh had 6 strawberry yogurt containers.

2. Josh had 7 fewer containers of strawberry yogurt than blueberry yogurt: huh? Another way of saying this is: Josh had 7 more containers of blueberry yogurt than strawberry yogurt: oh! Which means…6 strawberry yogurts + 7 blueberry yogurts (combine the yogurts!) = 13 BLUEBERRY yogurt containers overall (remember, there are 7 Blueberry containers more than the 6 strawberry ones).

3. Then he ate 2 containers of blueberry yogurt. Ok…so since we have 13 blueberry containers, and he ate 2, that leaves us with: 13 – 2 = 11 blueberry yogurt containers!

Hope this helps ๐Ÿ™‚

He has 11 blueberry.

Strawberry = 6

Blueberry = 6+7=13

Ate 2 blueberry: 13 – 2 = 11

He has 6 containers of strawberry yogurt.

He has 7 fewer (less) of straberry than blueberry, so…6+7=13 containers of blueberry.

He ate 2. 13-2=11
