1. Solve 3- a-6/a+4=a^2-6/a+4?

2.Solve (5a-4)=a+16/a+1

3. Hooke’s Law. The distance d when a spring is stretched by a hanging object varies directly as the weight w of the object. If the distance is 15cm when the weight is 4kg. what is the distance when the weight is 6kg?

4. Find the variation constant and an equation of variation where y varies inversely as x and y=9 when x=19

i don’t know 4 but here is 3

4kg = 15cm

1kg = 15/4 =3.75cm

6kg =3.75*6

= 22.5cm

See until the priority is precise written, the stairs will lead you off objective. i’m hoping your concern is, 2/(a+3) = 6/(a-3). if so basically go multiplication will help you fixing. i.e., 2(a-3) = 6(a+3) which solves to -4a =24 or a = -6. yet whilst the question is (2/a) +3 = (6/a) – 3 6 = 4/a, 6a =4, a =4/6 = 2/3. (by the by you assert those are quadratic equations, how?)

1) regular quadriatic eqn – do it urself

2) simple linear equation – do it urself

3) d=kw; 15 = k4; k = 15/4

d = 15/4*6 = 22.5 cms

4) y = k/x ; 9 = k/19; k = 19*9 = 171

eqn is y = 19*9/x = 171/x
