Social life for homeschoolers?
And i was wondering, how do most of you homeschoolers meet ‘friends’?
I know there’s certain social activities that happen just for homeschoolers..
But, i was thinking, with extra time and all, there’s always work, and other activites like sports where you meet other people, right?

You’re 15, and you’ve moved to another country right when their school year ends. How do you make friends?
I just do what I like doing and I meet other people.
Non- (and sometimes anti-) homeschoolers often realize how obvious that is once it’s pointed out, but mainstream society has all these weird ideas about homeschooling. Look at ‘The Brothers Solomon.’ The line from the ad is, “Seduction was a skill they never learned in home-school.” Two hopeless dweebs, socially stunted, have to go and try to get laid. Besides being offensive, it looks like a crap movie.
I met most of my friends in a playwriting class and theater group.
I’m not in a program, though, I just fill out my IHIP (telling the BoE what I’m going to do) and cover the subjects however I want.
They also go on retreats, and attend summer teen camps.
Their academic home school program is only a small part of their daily schedule, leaving plenty of other opportunities for learning, and interacting with other people.
There is Karate class.
There is gynmastics
There are softball and little leagues
Bowling leagues.
There is the mall
There is Girl or Boy Scouts
If you are religious there is Sunday School and Choir
Just find local groups that share your interest. Youth clubs are good.
