Is Noetic Learning similar to Kumon Math?

I was going to enroll my son to Kumon Math. A friend of mine told me about Noetic Learning (www.noetic-learning.com). She said they offer similiar program but is offering online with a fraction of the cost. Is that right?

I did some research on the program for a friend of mine. Noetic Learning is a new but a promising program for children and parents.

Worksheets are online-based, interactive and graded immediately upon submission.

Every child has to take an assessment test prior to start the program. And worksheets are assigned based on a child’s math skills instead of his grade level.

My suggestion is to give the program a try, It is only $19 a month after all.

I’m not real familiar with it, but I googled just plain “noetic learning” and the sites that came up looked rather…well, wierd and “out there”. The site itself doesn’t look bad, but I’d look into it a bit more.

Honestly, Math U See does wonders for a lot of kids – it’s incredibly concept-based, is a lot cheaper than either Kumon or Noetic, and the kids can watch the lesson as often as they need. It’s been a night-and-day experience for my son.

Just my 2 cents though 🙂 Good luck!

i am not fimiliar with noetic-learning, but i did visit the site you provided and it said the program was for 3rd-5th graders. i recommend Kumon Math because your son wont need to stop after 5th grade. Kumon Math levels do not stop at 5th grader work. they go on and include algebra, calculus, and etc. this would be beneficial for him in the long run because Kumon Math goes by his ability and not his school grade level. the price you pay for Kumon will be worth it.
