help me with this prob that deals with volume?
it says
The volume of a gas is 3.50 L at 280 K. The volume of any gas s directly proportional to its temperature on teh Kelvin scale (K).
1. Fnd the volume of this gas when the temperature is 330 K.
2. Find the temperature when the volume is 2.25 L.

As the volume v is directly proportional to the temperature t in deg. K, it follows that:
v = kt …(1)
where k is constant.
Substituting the values given:
3.5 = 280k
k = 3.5 / 280 L / deg. K.
For this gas, (1) is therefore:
v = 3.5t / 280 …(2)
1.
Putting t = 330 deg. K in (2):
v = 3.5 * 330 / 280
= 4.125 L.
2.
Putting v = 2.25 L,
2.25 = 3.5 t / 280
t = 280 * 2.25 / 3.5
= 180 deg. K.
