You can absolutely get a student loan. The best type of loan for you to get would be a federal government loan. Here’s what you need to do to get one:

1) Fill out the FAFSA. This will determine if you are eligible for financial aid. Go here:

http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/

2) Once you are eligible for aid, choose a government-based student loan. The best loan to get is a Federal Perkins Loan. These have low interest rates and the government will help you pay it back as long as you stay enrolled in school. You also don’t need a cosigner or good credit for it. For more info go here:

3) The next best loan to get is a Subsidized Stafford Loan. This has many of the same benefits as a Perkins Loan. Learn more here:

You can also try to get a grant or scholarship, which is free money that you won’t have to pay back. You can read about them here:

And here are some good sites to check out:

Yes, it’s possible! Go down to the financial aid office of your local university and they’ll get your started. You can even call and have the brochure (which includes financial aid information) mailed to you. I wish you every success. My daughter was bored and wanted to get a career, so she went down and did the same thing. She got her degree in June and is happily employed in a great job. Go ahead, girlfriend. Do your thing!

Yes, it is possible. They have financial aid packages available for just about every situation. Your first step would be to talk to the financial aid office at the school you would like to attend. And make sure you fill out the official gov. financial aid website and apply (it’s free). Congrats and good luck!

you can qualify for aid. go to the school of your choice and begin the process with them. the government offers students grants (no need to repay) nad sudent loans (need to be repaid). the loans and interest have nothing to do with your credit, just financial need. i think you can go to famsa.org or just type sudent financial aid into the search box. certain careers will allow for your loan to be completely and/or partially forgiven, but not all of them. good luck.
