When should I apply for FAFSA?

Be sure to check with the schools you’re applying to and see what their financial aid deadlines are. Most schools want the FAFSA information by March or April.
This year, I didn’t get my FAFSA done until July, and I got almost no financial aid. And I’m paying out of state tuition, so I have to find a way to get $30,000 to the school before classes start! Don’t make that mistake–do the FAFSA as soon as you can!
Also remember to go to Fastweb.com and other scholarship search sites to look for additional scholarships to pay for school.
