It depends on the area that you are in but generally it would be a bank that has locations in your home and college town or a credit union that is local to the area that you are in. Depending upon where you go to school if you are fairly close your own bank or credit union may have locations that you can access without incurring fees

Personally, I like Wachovia. I’ve used Wachovia since I started college and I’ve never had a problem with them. I had a lot of free services since I was a college student, such as free checking and savings accounts and even an ATM card.
