You can study anything. Although animal medicine, or some science seems most logical. You have to have prerequistes to go to vet school. This include, although it may be different for every school, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Biological Sciences, Genetics, Biochemistry, and physiology.
You can major in whatever you want, but you have to complete the prerequistes. Most people major in a science because it fulfills their prerequistes.
