Pin application and corrections in Fafsa application.?

I’ve already filed my fafsa application and received a comment to my application. It says that I need to make corrections to the lines with “h” in it, but I cannot find any of those “h”(where can i see it?) And if I’m dependent do my parent needs to apply for another pin or my pin will do?!

I had problems with my FAFSA also. You can call the FAFSA people at 1-800-4-FED-AID and someone there can tell you exactly where the problem is. The quicker the problem is corrected the better. And if your parents want to sign the FAFSA electronically then yes they will also need a pin number. You fill out the information for them a parent pin number and it will be sent to the provided email address or it can be mailed but that will take longer. Hope this helps.

Something with your question sounds funny to me. Did you apply to www.fafsa.ed.gov? And NOT the scandlous www.fafsa.com. If you submitted your fafsa you should get what they call an SAR or Student Aid Report, you should look it over if you see a mistake you can make corrections on-line or on the SAR and mail it back to the FAFSA. If you are having problems and don’t know what to do go to www.fafsa.ed.gov, click on the “check status of submitted processed fafsa”, log in with your pin, ssn, name etc. Then click on the SAR comments on the left hand panel it should tell you what the hold up is. I can’t think of any place or form dealing w/the FAFSA that has a line “h”.

Your parent or Guardian will need to apply for their own pin until you are over 24 years old, or unless you printed out the signature page and had them mail it in, or you have children/dependants, or are married.
