Pell help?
I was denied pell bc in2006 I made $19,000. I have not been able to work in 10 months so my 2007 income will be zero. Will this change my elligebility for pell? If so, will I be able to get it before school starts jan. 7? If not, can pell money be given to me once classes start after the semester?

Yes, this change in income can effect your Pell eligibility.
Students have the right to request consideration for what is commonly referred to as a “Special Circumstance.” This is a way in which students can report any decrease in income due to loss of wages, loss of benefits, divorce, death of parent/spouse, or any other reason that student might be suffering a significant drop in income.
Of course, documentation will be required by your financial aid office in order to support your claim, so contact your school’s financial aid office to obtain information on how to report your decrease in income–each school’s process and required documentation may vary.
