a. write the number of shoes sold as a linear funstion of the price.

b. how many shoes will be sold if the price is set at $45?

slope= (30-60)/(100-40)

slope=-30/60

-30/60=(p-60)/(q-60)

-30(q-60)=60(p-60)

-30q+1800 = 60p – 3600

-30q= 60p -5400

a) q= (60p-5400)/(-30)

b) q=60(45) -5400 /30

q=90

revenue = price * quantity

= p* (60p-5400)/(-30)

= 60p^2 -5400P / -30

Revenue = -2p^2 + 180p
