I haven’t heard of any such program in other states, but in Michigan right now they have a program called No Worker Left Behind. My plant where I worked for 7 years closed and the state is paying $5,000.00 per year for up to two years tuition and books. In Michigan we have the Michigan Works which helps with employment resources and training for new careers. I’m sure your state has something similar too this. Check with your unemployment office or go to their web site. And ask if they have anything similar to the “No Worker Left Behind ” program in Michigan. They should be able to give you some kind of answer. Hope this helps
