Make sure you apply for federal student loans before going the private loan route. Federal loans require no credit check or cosigner and have better fees, interest rate and repayment terms than private loans. Complete the application on line at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov to apply.

Don’t go to a Web site. Work with your bank, your parents’ bank, or your school for a loan. You can probably still get one. Can a parent or relative cosign with you? If they have good credit, it can give you a better interest rate.

any school you go to should be able to help you with private loans through school……..unless you go through a private source to get a student loan it should not even be a problem even with bad credit.
