You have to reapply every year. Try to apply as soon as possible after January 1. Every year after the first of January you have to reapply. As the others said, if you apply on-line its so much faster, and they already have your information so you would just have to update the new things.

About having to get a new pin # every year. No, you keep the same one. I recommend you filling out your renewal FASFA on-line. Its faster, and it already has your information on there. If you can apply on January 1, go ahead, the sooner the better! Its like a first come first serve situation. The sooner you apply the more money available. GOOD LUCK!

Your pin stays the same, this is given to you by the government.

You do have to complete a new FAFSA every year. Although when you fill out the FAFSA again, there is an option you pick if you have filled it out before and most of your background info stays the same, the only things you have to change is information that has changed from the last year, your taxes, etc.

You reapply every year, beginning January 1 (the sooner, the better). Also, because your previous year’s information is saved, completing the following year(s) FAFSA is quicker and easier. You keep the same PIN.

You do have to reapply each year, but if I remember correctly, you will be able to keep your same pin. I applied online and I’m pretty sure it saved a lot of my info from the year before.
