I applied for a private student loan. They said the money is sent diretctly to me, but then I read another?
area saying a portion is sent directly to my school, and the rest to me. Will my school then disburse the money to me? My tuition and fees are already taken care of, so will they just send me a check as they do with all other surplus financial aid money? Thanks.

it might be the kind of school that gets the money and gives it to you. so you need to open an acct that the school tells you to and the money will be there.

It depends what country your in, but in Britain, there are two types of loans that you apply for at the same time: a maintenance loan which you receive directly to you in your back but comes in parts throughout the year. And the tuition fee loan goes straight to the college/university.

Usually in America if you get a private loan such as Astrive, or a loan from your bank, they will not send it to the school, they will give it to you and you are free to do with it as you please (books, laptop, rent, beer). If you get government aid then they will send it to the school, and if your aid package covers more than tuition and fees then the school will refund the remaining amount to you.
