Check with the aid office at your school to make sure they have everything they need to process your aid eligibility. The time frame varies from school to school, but if you haven’t heard anything within a month I’d be on the phone finding out what’s up.

School’s have specific dates as to when they can release your financial aid. Cliff’s Notes version…aid cannot be released any earlier than 10 days before the first day of classes, but can be later based on the school’s policies.

An EFC of 2280 will allow you to be eligible for the Pell Grant as long as you meet all other awarding criteria. Your award letter will tell you specifically how much.

Well, if you EFC is 2280 then you take that number and subtract if from you schools projected cost of attendance. Then whatever you get is how much you’re eligible to receive in the form of grants or government loans.

Your EFC is very high. How long the letter will take depends on the financial aid office at the schools you applied to. They will recieve the FAFSA information then send out their letters. One year, at the school my daughter attended, the letters went out after school began. No one had a clue.

Best of luck to you.
